• The new seating area is surrounded by textural planting
  • Bamboo clothes the garage and gently rustles in the wind
  • A Japanese maple adds some colour and shape to the more traditional hedge behind
  • An evergreen fig and choisya combine with grasses to provide year round interest
  • Decking is level with the lawn for increased entertainment space
  • Just after planting the increased privacy from the sleek wooden screen can be seen
  • The rather ugly fence and messy planting before the transformation
  • The house behind is very obvious with nothing to keep your focus in the garden

The redesign of this previously unloved garden provides ample space for entertaining and playing whilst the slatted wooden screen helps to improve privacy. Exuberant planting such as fig, bamboo and grasses add a tropical feel to this corner of Leeds all year round. Pops of colour from allium, agapanthus and euphorbia add a more seasonal feel.

Client Testimonial

"Thank you very much for such an imaginative garden and planting design, and for your attentive management of the whole transformation process. The end result fitted the brief exceptionally well: you managed to make a small, overlooked and virtually unusable space into a really lovely and functional private space which I am sure we will get a lot of use and pleasure out of come the summer months"
